Ms. Dawson-Tibbits has over thirty-three years of experience in assisting elders and their families with their legal needs. Her practice includes both trial work and counseling in a broad range of elder law issues, including guardianships, long-term care planning, Medicaid and Medicare, elder abuse, advance directives, nursing home residents' rights, and retirement benefits.
Ms. Dawson-Tibbits was a Staff Attorney and then Managing Attorney of the Peoria office of Prairie State Legal Services, Inc. between 1979 and 1999. She then opened her solo practice of law, which concentrated on elder law issues from 1999 to January 2012, when she joined Johnson, Bunce & Noble, P.C.
