Mortgage Foreclosure

Financial institutions have relied on JBN for nearly 70 years to protect their real estate assets through the mortgage foreclosure process.  Asset protection has become critical since the recent economic downturn, making effective legal counsel a priority for many institutions.

Invariably, banks and credit unions will have loans that go bad.  When that happens, the first question is: what is our collaterial?  Many times, collateral consists of real estate.  We are called on to file foreclosure actions, obtain clear title for our client, and proceed in the sale of that property.  Foreclosure law has become complicated, and is even more so with certain counties in Illinois that have mandatory arbitration in residential cases.
